SO Minerals is an independent mineral company based in Dallas, Texas, buying mineral rights in Texas, Oklahoma, North Dakota and Wyoming. This page explains who we are, what you own, and how a sale works. You're never under any obligation.
Minerals in Texas? Texas land is described by survey and abstract number instead, such as "Abstract 123, J. Smith Survey."
The basics
Mineral rights are ownership of the oil and gas under a piece of land. They can be owned separately from the land itself, so many people own minerals in a county they've never lived in. They are often passed down through a family.
We find owners through public county records, the same records anyone can look up at the county clerk's office.
Four steps
A letter with a specific cash price for your interest.
Call, text or email using the contact information in your letter. Say yes, ask questions, or tell us your price.
You sign it in front of a notary. Your family is welcome to review it first.
Usually within 14–21 days after we receive the signed deed.
Our promise
We pay all title work, recording and closing costs.
Keep your minerals if you'd like. A "no thanks" is fine.
You talk directly with someone at SO Minerals, not a call center.
